Chain Reaction
Nationwide Game Show Casting Call
Do you have a large vocabulary and like to consider yourself a wordsmith? If so, you should consider applying to be a contestant on the Game Show Network’s reboot of Chain Reaction. This is a great opportunity where wordplay can lead to a big payday. All you need is a team of 3 to play! They could be family members, friends, co-workers, etc.
The fifth and current installment of this popular game show is once again hosted by Dylan Lane and is in search of contestants for upcoming seasons.
You may remember that this show pits two teams against one another to see which team can connect the most word chains. Each team consists of three contestants who are shown the beginning or ending word of a word chain of varying lengths, using between four and six words.
The word above the missing word and below the missing word is related to it, and the connection can be in the form of a phrase or association. For example, check out this word chain:
Wide
Open
Sesame
Street
Car
Alarm
So, wide open, open sesame, sesame street, street car, and car alarm are the word associations or phrases for that chain.
The team that wins a backstage coin toss begins the first round. The team with the most correct answers for the chain is considered the round winner and gets a chance at winning an additional $100 from a “speed chain.” During this bonus round, you are given 7 seconds and provided with the first and last word of the chain. For example:
Nose
Job
Security
Deposit
The only difference is that contestants are not given letters as clues; they have seven seconds to identify the two missing words.
During the first round of Chain Reaction, each correct answer is worth $100; during the second, they are worth $200; and finally, during the third round, correct answers are worth $300 apiece.
The second and third rounds of the game feature the same gameplay as the first but are started by the team with the least amount of money on the board.
However, things start to get interesting in the fourth and final round. During this round, you can wager up to $500 each time you get another letter hint. Just beware, you can either make a lot of money quickly or lose it just as fast.
When you hear the buzzer sound, it means the game is down to the final word, and teams can wager up to $1,000 on each turn. This really adds value to the game because if your team is losing and you wager $1,000 on a correct guess, you could just win the game and make it to the bonus round, where you have a shot at another $10,000.
The bonus round is won by completing three separate word chains within one minute. The first chain consists of four words, the second is five words, and the last is six words. If you complete all three chains, you win your initial earnings from the first three rounds and the $10,000 grand prize.
This is one opportunity you don’t want to miss! If you want to be a contestant on an upcoming game show - make it Chain Reaction! The gameplay is fun and open to anyone ages 18 and older, so apply today.
⭐ All interviews and callbacks will be held remotely by video chat.
This casting is open to anyone currently living in the United States.
